Step 3 - Screening, Diagnosis & Treatment
Your first appointment at the clinic, be on time! To get a clear picture of your pain and the recovery options, a screening is needed to assess whether a physiotherapeutic examination is useful. During the intake, a diagnosis through a personal interview (anamnesis) and physical examination will be done after that a treatment plan will be devised.
Traveling to AcuFysio

Screening
To get a clear picture of your pain and the recovery options, a screening is needed to assess whether a physiotherapeutic examination is useful. If this is the case -or if you have been referred by a medical doctor with a referral letter- our clinician will proceed with the intake & diagnosis.
Intake & Diagnosis
During the intake, a diagnosis through a personal interview (anamnesis) and physical examination will be done. This intake forms the basis for your AcuFysio treatment. During the first 30 minutes the clinician will talk with you about your particular pain and what your desired outcome is in order to improve your quality of life. The clinician can request you to functional undress in order to conduct a body assessment. Therefore, wear easy and comfortable clothes like sport clothes. Together with the clinician you work to identify the root cause of your pain.
Treatment Plan
The clinician will devise and propose a personal treatment plan for you after having performed the screening, intake and diagnosis. Your first AcuFysio treatment is normally performed the same day. The treatment plan has clear program and goals to reduce and manage your pain and improve your quality of life.
AcuFysio Treatment Session
An AcuFysio treatment session last approximately 30 minutes. During a treatment session you and the clinician follow the AcuFysio treatment plan made after the diagnosis. Hands-on eHealth exercises and advices will help you to make progress between this treatment and the follow-up treatments.
